PC Magazine - The new Verizon BlackBerry 8830’s killer feature is dual CDMA/GSM functionality, which makes it Verizon’s first global BlackBerry. Sprint also issued their own version.

He is asking the state Legislature for$1.5 million for new emergency-alert systems that include text-message notices for the 11 state-run campuses.
